Fuqua Tiny Home Community — Regional Tailwind: MD Anderson Expansion and Long-Term Healthcare Job Demand

Another major positive signal for Houston’s long-term growth is the continued expansion of The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center and the broader Texas Medical Center ecosystem.

MD Anderson Is Expanding Capacity in Houston

MD Anderson’s published expansion plan shows new facilities scheduled to open between 2026 and 2031, expanding both outpatient and inpatient capacity across Houston.

In addition, MD Anderson has:

  • announced openings of new specialized clinical programs and spaces (example: its new Colorectal Center opening in March 2026).

  • continued major Houston build-outs such as its South Campus / Helix Park research expansion, which has been positioned as a large-scale institutional investment.

Why Healthcare Growth Supports Our Project

Healthcare expansion brings durable, non-cyclical demand for:

  • nurses and patient-care staff

  • imaging, lab, and clinical technicians

  • operations, facilities, and support teams

These are hands-on roles that generally can’t be “fully automated” by AI—and they require nearby, safe housing options.
